St Chonas is said to have founded a monastery here. He is said to be the second husband of St Patrick’s sister St Darerca. The outline of the monastery can be seen in the field. There are two Crosses, in the fields either side of the road. There is also a large Bullaun/Cup Stone with a cross on it and a cross slab.
