Culdaff

County Donegal

St Buadan founded a monastery here in the 8C. The site of it was the present graveyard, though there is now nothing to see. Culdaff means the place of the 2 fords. There is a lovely beach from where he set off to spread the Gospel among his brethren in Scotland.
In the river is a stone called “the boat of St Buadan” on which he is reputed to have travelled around.
