Cleenish Island
County Fermanagh
St Sinell, a monk famous for his holiness and learning founded a monastery on this island on Lough Erne in the early sixth century. One of his most famous pupils was St Columbanus. A cross slab from the island is in the hands of Enniskillen Museum, though kept elsewhere.
