Mount Brandon
County Kerry Dingle Peninsula
At 3123 feet the mountain is the highest peak in the Dingle peninsula. It was a sacred mountain before the Christian era and became the ‘Way of the Saints’ and the mountain dedicated to St Brendon. It begins at Kilvikidownig in Ventry bay, goes by the important sites of Gallarus and Kilmalkedar and ends with the oratory on the summit.
